CRD was asked by SATORP/Aramco, in affiliation with Evans, to undertake an ergonomic study to review an
existing control building floor plan and make recommendations on: console sizes, groupings,
spacings and all aspects of traffic flows, etc. within the control building. Within 4 weeks
of project start-up, CRD had initial recommendations for the basic arrangement of the console
groupings within the control room.
   Following preparation of CRD's control room layouts, the preferred console supplier (Evans) prepared several renderings for presentation to SATORP.
